The 2018 Louisiana Energy Conference will be held on May 29 – June 1, 2018 at the Westin Canal Place Hotel in New Orleans and will again feature two full days of topical panels on May 30 - 31 that will address key U.S. and international energy industry developments and topics. Based on continued strong response to our field trip opportunities in past years, we will again host field trips to a variety of offshore and onshore industry facilities on Friday, June 1.

“Energy Policy and the Political Environment – a View from the Swamp”
Dan Naatz, IPAA’s Senior Vice President of Government Relations & Political Affairs, will discuss the current political environment in Washington and its impact on American energy producers. From the current inertia in Congress to the instability at the White House, the chaotic political environment in the Capitol has a direct impact on the entire oil and gas industry. Mr. Naatz will discuss IPAA’s current efforts with the Trump Administration and Congress as well as an outlook on the 2018 mid-term elections.

We will open our Conference at 4 pm on Tuesday afternoon, May 29th with a keynote speaker addressing global energy market matters. It will be followed by a welcoming reception.
We are pleased to announce that we will return to the National World War II Museum on Wednesday evening, May 30th for our traditional dinner and museum tour.
We will also host a Thursday evening, May 31st post-closing, pre-field trip event from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
This year we will again host several exciting field trips on Friday, June 1st to offshore Gulf of Mexico and onshore south Louisiana facilities. We currently plan to have a crew boat trip to an offshore platform as well as an airboat trip onshore to view marshland production operations, a refinery tour, and a fourth trip currently being considered.
Attendance and Registration
Attendance at the Conference is directed to investment professionals which include buy side and sell side analysts and portfolio managers, as well as private equity and wealth management executives and trust officers. There is no cost for these investment professionals, as well as sponsoring firms and participating energy company management, to attend the Conference. The cost for all other attendees will be $295 for the three-day event.
Investment professional attendees will be offered the opportunity to register for one-on-one meetings with company executives participating on the various panels if their schedules permit.
