An upstream oil and gas company focused on opportunities in Africa,
principally in West Africa where it has established a producing base
offshore Angola. The Company’s purpose is to support a responsible
energy transition in Africa by establishing itself as a credible partner for
divesting IOCs and Host Governments. Offshore Angola in the Lower
Congo Basin, Afentra has a 4% non-operated interest in the producing
shallow water Block 3/05 (increasing to 24% upon imminent completion of
a deal with Sonangol, the NOC), 4% non-op interest in the adjacent
development Block 3/05A, and a 40% non-op interest in the deepwater
Block 23 in the Kwanza Basin. Afentra also retains a carried interest in the
Odewayne Block, onshore southwestern Somaliland, which it inherited
from Sterling Energy plc as it was formerly known prior to new
Management and Board re-branding to
